[DNA] Internship Programme 2026

We are delighted to share the highlights of our recent Drew Network Asia (DNA) Internship Programme at Shearn Delamore & Co., featuring Chia Zhen Kai from the National University of Singapore and Jesper Loo from Singapore Management University. During their time with us, both interns gained invaluable exposure across our Corporate, Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution practice groups.

Reflecting on his experience, Zhen Kai noted that it was an exceptionally fulfilling and memorable journey: "One of the highlights of my internship was accompanying Mr Indran to the Federal Court of Malaysia for a hearing. Watching him advocate before the court while witnessing how the team worked seamlessly together behind the scenes to achieve a successful outcome was extremely inspiring. That experience reinforced the importance of thorough preparation, adaptability, and, above all, the value of a strong and supportive team."

Jesper similarly highlighted the practical depth of his experience: "My internship at Shearn Delamore & Co was a thoroughly enjoyable one. One of the highlights was attending the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia's Conference, "Restructuring Reimagined: Transforming Crisis Into Value", where Mr Yee Mei Ken shared how his team persuaded the court that a company ordered into liquidation could instead be restructured and why that mattered when workers' livelihoods were at stake.”
